Jean & Josh Wedding | Forest Lake Club Wedding | Columbia, SC

Columbia, SC in June where all the stars aligned for this photographer’s first wedding shoot: gracious, kind family, wonderful bride, Jean and groom, Josh.  I had taken Jean’s bridal portrait in Charleston back in April. Until the day of the wedding, I had not met Josh, her groom.  What a cutie pie he is!  So loving towards Jean, and it shows in the pictures.  Jean and I had talked about how we are both so detail oriented and organized and that it is such a blessing when you meet one who can balance you out.  Jean and Josh are a perfect match in that aspect.  The day was surprisingly pleasant, as the week leading up to the wedding had been in the high 90’s!  The fabulous wedding, done by event planner, Cricket Newman, was a classy affair with southern touches.  The groomsmen wore white dinner jackets, and who doesn’t look good in those?!  The food: fish tacos, macaroni and cheese, and my favorite, a hush puppie and an onion ring served in a martini glass!  The BAND, Big Blast & The Party Masters, had the party rockin from start to end!  And one of the many special touches, the cake table’s cloth, was the same one used at Jeans mother’s wedding!

If I haven’t said it before, Jean & family were  such a fun group and couldn’t have been a better match for me on this first go round of wedding photography.  Thank you so much Jean & Susan!  There is also a video at the very bottom, via Vimeo.  Don’t forget to watch it too!  Song by Teitur.
